Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates : The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company “SEHA” - the largest healthcare network in the United Arab Emirates, organized the tenth session of the “SEHA” International Conference on Radiology, on February 19 and 20, 2021, which comes in line with the mission of “SEHA” Aiming to transform the healthcare system in Abu Dhabi in line with and comparable to international standards, by encouraging continuous medical education and knowledge development.

The 10th edition of the SEHA World Radiology Conference hosted an elite group of more than 75 world-leading experts, including radiologists, surgeons and medical consultants, from across the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa, the United States of America, Canada and Ireland .

The SEHA World Radiology Conference focused on technical developments in the field of medical imaging and diagnostics, which have contributed to accelerating the transformation of the field of diagnostic radiology. In line with the rapid development witnessed by the imaging sector, and the accompanying increase in clinical practice requirements, the conference directed its attention towards in-depth study of the latest current developments, and presenting developments related to the applied aspects of diagnostic radiology within all major subspecialties of healthcare.

An array of eminent local speakers covered a wide range of topics, lectures, interactive sessions, case studies, presentations and hands-on workshops, with the aim of encouraging the exchange of knowledge and best practices in the field of radiography. This also included providing participants with the tools and knowledge to enhance their analytical skills when using the latest imaging techniques, exploring proven practice techniques and improved diagnostic procedures, and highlighting the latest developments in the field of interventional radiology. The conference also hosted a digital exhibition that included the most prominent manufacturers of radiology equipment, showcasing the latest innovations and artificial intelligence techniques in this field.

On this occasion, Dr. Jamal Al-Qutaish, Conference President, Head of the Institute of Radiology and Consultant Interventional Radiologist at Tawam Hospital , said: “SEHA is keen to harness the latest technologies and take advantage of the most advanced diagnostic methods, to provide the highest quality of patient experience, as the largest healthcare network. Dr. Al-Qutaish emphasized the development of radiology in recent years, and its transformation from an independent medical sector to a major contributor to health care provided to patients within most specialties. This rapid development is a direct result of advances in 3D printing, robotics, interventional medicine and imaging technologies. He explained that the conference addressed all these updates and developments, and focused its attention on specialists, technicians and nurses in the radiology sector, and on radiology students and other supportive professionals working in the health field.

The SEHA World Radiology Conference continues to serve as an international platform that takes a multidisciplinary approach, offering special lectures, dialogues and interactive techniques that seek to explore innovative developments in the field of medical imaging. Hundreds of world-renowned speakers participated in the conference, who interacted through important dialogues on imaging diagnostics, transformational medicine and diagnostic radiology techniques, to encourage academic collaboration among experts in the field, and to improve patient wellness.

It is worth noting that the SEHA World Radiology Conference is academically accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, with 16 CME hours for conference participants.
